Transferring Calls on Yealink SIP-T53/T53W

You can transfer a call on the Yealink SIP-T53/T53W in the following three ways:

  • Blind Transfer: Transfers the call directly to another party without consultation.
  • Semi-Attended Transfer: Transfers the call when the target phone is ringing.
  • Attended Transfer: Transfers the call after speaking with the target party.


All transfer types can be performed using the Transfer key (physical or soft key), a DSS key, or a BLF key.


Using the Transfer Key

An active call can be transferred to a number, a contact in the local or remote directory, or a number from the call history.


To Transfer a Call:

  1. Press A black phone handset with arrows in a white background

  2. Enter the destination number or choose from one of the following:
    • Press a configured Speed Dial key.
    • Press the Directory soft key → Local Directory → select a group → search for a contact.
    • Press the Directory soft key → History → select a record.
    • Press the Directory soft key → Remote Phone Book → select a group → search for a contact.


Completing the Transfer

  • For a Blind Transfer:
    • Select B Transfer or press the A black phone handset with arrows in a white background

  • For a Semi-Attended Transfer:
    • Press the Send soft key or A black circle with letters in it

AI-generated content may be incorrect. to dial.
    • Once the target phone starts ringing, press A black phone handset with arrows in a white background

AI-generated content may be incorrect. again to complete the transfer.
  • For an Attended Transfer:
    • Wait for the target party to answer.
    • Then press the A black phone handset with arrows in a white background

AI-generated content may be incorrect. or transfer soft key.


If using a handset, an attended or semi-attended transfer can also be completed by hanging up the handset.


Cancelling a Transfer

If the transfer hasn't been completed, press the Cancel soft key to abort.
