3CX Voicemail User Guide


This guide outlines how to access and manage voicemail using the 3CX phone system.


Getting Started


  • Voicemail Menu Extension: Dial 999 (this is the default; confirm with your administrator if it does not work).
  • You will be prompted to enter your PIN. If you do not know your PIN, ask your administrator to resend your 3CX Welcome Email — it contains your PIN.

After logging in, the system will notify you of any new messages and present the Main Menu options.

Change Your Self Identification Message


Set or update the name associated with your mailbox:

Change PIN


To change your voicemail PIN:

  1. Enter a new PIN when prompted
  2. Press # to submit
  3. System reads back the PIN:
    • Press * to confirm and save
    • Press # to cancel and return to Main Menu



Change Your Greeting Message


This is the voicemail greeting callers hear. A professional example:

“Hi. You’ve reached Rob at IT Networks. I’m currently unavailable. Please leave your name and number, and I will return your call as soon as possible.”
