While RingOffice employs many security and fraud prevention measures, credit limits are a valuable last line of defense against misuse of phone services. We encourage customers to be vigilant about network and communication security. However, in the unfortunate event of a security breach on a customer network or device, the credit limit serves to limit our customers’ liability for fraudulent call traffic by temporarily blocking service. So, credit limits can protect you in such an event.
We usually set credit limits to a level that can accommodate 2-3 bill cycles just in case a payment is missed by mistake. If you feel that your credit limit should be higher, please let us know and we will review your account.
